OUR FIRST COMMUNITY CONVERSATION

Collingham, Nottinghamshire, is situated midway between Newark and Lincoln and is typical of many of the larger rural villages. With a population of around 3,000, the village acts as a service-centre for several smaller nearby settlements.

Just like other parts of the country, the local community in Collingham has been hard-hit by the pandemic but community response has been magnificent, with local groups springing into action. However, day-to-day conversations happening in the community did not reach everyone because of lockdown.

Recognising this, Gusto Homes organised an online meeting for Collingham and its surrounding villages on May 6th, 2020 and are now meeting virtually every week. The digital conversation is live streamed on a variety of local Facebook pages and has a growing audience alongside those who contribute through the Zoom call.
